The State Library's professional resources collection is designed for the information professional. Employees at any public library, public K-12 or public academic library in the state of Florida are eligible for a library card that will allow access to the database Library Literature & Information Science Full Text. Library Literature provides full text and indexing of English and foreign-language periodicals, selected state journals, conference proceedings, pamphlets, books, and library school theses, plus over 300 books per year. A library card from the State Library will also allow access to a collection of e-books focusing on resources to help information providers. The State Library collects professional titles from publishers such as the American Library Association (ALA), Neal Schuman and Libraries Unlimited. We have titles in both print and e-book format on various subjects including:

- Youth Services
- Marketing and Outreach
- Budgeting and Fundraising
- Advocacy
- Technical Services
- Reference and User Services
You can search print titles in our online catalog and request them through your library's Interlibrary Loan System (ILL). Staff in a public library, public K-12 or public academic library in the state of Florida can apply for an e-card to access the electronic resources that are listed above.
