Test
The world around
us is filled with science. In fact, everyone needs scientific knowledge
in order to make choices that arise everyday. What we wear, what
we eat, and where we live are the results of science. The GED Science
Test requires the skills that individuals must possess so that they
can make appropriate choices about the way they live.
The GED Science
Test allows 80 minutes to complete 50 multiple-choice questions.
The questions are based on the areas of:

and space science |

physical
science |
Fifty percent
of the science questions use graphics, such as charts, diagrams,
tables, and graphs. Some of the graphics may be in color.
The GED Science
Test is a test of thinking skills applied to science materials.
It emphasizes the relevance of science to everyday life, the environment,
and health, as well as the application of problem-solving skills.
Although the individual may not have to remember Newton's Third
Law of Motion, a question may require that the person apply the
law to a real-life situation.
